Obituary for John "Jack" Tinning
JOHN "JACK" TINNING
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Tinning announces his passing on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of Donna Tinning for 63 years. Son of the late Edwin and Gladys Tinning. Loving father of Kim Ahrens (Doug), Bev Heinbuch (Terry), Barb Ward (Shayne) and Jackie Herold (Steve). Cherished grandfather of Amanda Weir (Colin), Shayne Ahrens (Josi), Craig Ahrens (Michelle), Trisha Barter (Tristan), Kyle Heinbuch, Chad Heinbuch (Cindy), Kelly-Ann Ward (Jonathan), Christopher Ward (Jessica), Mallory Herold and Michael Herold (Stacey). Also survived by 17 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Cora Nash (Hugh). Dear brother-in-law of Beth Vosper. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Harold Tinning (Joyce) and brother-in-law Jack Vosper (Shirley).
Jack lived the majority of his life at Lot 25, Concession 6 of Downie Township. He was a proud, hard working dairy farmer who enjoyed his family and watching grandchildren and great grandchildren at sporting events. As a member of Thamesview United Church, he was a part of the A.O.T.S. Men's Club and helped with the Food Grains Bank Projects.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Thamesview United Church, Fullarton on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Knowles officiating. A reception will follow in the church basement. Interment in Carlingford Cemetery.
